Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem, the President of University of Petra, sponsored the launch of the university's charitable campaign for the month of Ramadan. It included distributing parcels to orphan care centers and charitable associations, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Eyad Mallah, and representatives from the associations.
This year's campaign included distributing parcels to ten associations and institutions working in the field of orphan care and charity work.
Mr. Arafat Al-Da'ajeh, the chief of Al-Muqabalayn Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the orphan care centers, expressing gratitude to the university's administration, faculty, and staff for these charitable efforts serving the local community.
Al-Awdeh Youth Club presented a commemorative shield to the university president in appreciation of University of Petra's efforts in assisting their orphaned children.
It's worth mentioning that University of Petra Club is one of the active centers in serving the local community and supporting orphan care centers.
