The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Petra organized the Sports Excellence Scholarship assessments, with the participation of around 150 male and female students, under the supervision of specialized technical committees that included a distinguished group of national team coaches.
The selection committees included the head coach of the national karate team, Captain Mohammad Fityan; former national football team star and current coach, Captain Hatem Aqel; national basketball coach, Captain Samir Nassar; international volleyball referee, Dr. Tajuddin Al-Wedyan; badminton coach, Captain Mohammad Al-Azzam; and national taekwondo coach, Captain Ayman Al-Hassami.
Prof. Eyad Al-Mallah, Dean of Student Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the participation of Jordanian sports stars in the technical committees, emphasizing the University of Petra's commitment to supporting student-athletes and developing their skills to enable them to represent the university in various championships.
