At University of Petra, sustainability is not merely a goal but a fundamental principle that drives our actions and decisions since its inception. The primary objective of UOP is to establish itself as a model green campus. Our approach is grounded in a deep sense of responsibility to address pressing environmental challenges while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through integrating interdisciplinary research, education, and administrative practices. Our environmental management plan is rigorously monitored, assessed, and periodically updated to ensure ongoing efficacy.

UOP offers a distinctive research and educational environment, with a pronounced focus on projects that address sustainability and contemporary environmental issues. Our research encompasses key areas such as water management, clean energy, energy efficiency, and waste management.
