The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jordan has addressed a letter to the Presidency of the University of Petra (UOP) on listing UOP in "Safeer" website for accredited universities in KSA. On this achievement, UOP President Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem has congratulated members of the members of teaching and administrative staff on accreditation of all undergraduate and postgraduate programs by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MoE-KSA).
UOP President Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem thanked KSA Embassy and Cultural Attaché in Jordan for efforts in supporting higher education institutions in Jordan, including the University of Petra (UOP).
It is worth highlighting that UOP was incorporated in 1992, expanded its infrastructure and green spaces, and various UOP programs have obtained academic accreditations from USA, UK, Germany, and Canada. UOP was the first Jordanian university that obtained quality assurance certificate from the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI).
UOP consists of eight faculties, namely: Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Mass Communication, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and Faculty of Information Technology and plans for opening a new Faculty for Dentistry by the beginning of the new Academic Year.
