President of University of Petra Receives Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Amman

The president of the University, Dr. Marwan Muwalla, met with Mr. Sabir Aghabayov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Amman in his office, accompanied by the Cultural Attaché, Mr. Vugar Hajiyev. In the meeting, the president of the University and the Ambassador discussed about the cooperation and communication aspects between the University of Petra and the Jordanian universities, especially in the areas of Arabic Language, Educational studies, other languages and Graduate Studies.
 
The president of the University pointed out that the university has an outstanding reputation among Jordanian, Arab and foreign universities and is home to an elite group of faculty members. It complies with the best educational policies and, most recently, is working to keep up with cognitive developments, especially in the field of Information Technology. Beside that, the university is keen to develop different scientific and humanitarian programs, all aspects of applied educational theory.
 
Dr. Muwalla stressed that the university considers Higher Studies and Scientific Research the two pillars of academic activity. The Deanship for Higher Studies and Scientific Research handles the supervision of these activities. The university also seeks to provide all the necessary requirements to quality and excellence as a constant work policy.
 
During the visit, the University of Petra and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan have agreed to sign the Memorandum of Understanding in order to strengthen relationship and communication in different cultural and academic fields.
