University of Petra Library was established at the same time as the University of Petra (UOP) in 1991. Currently, the UOP Library is housed in a three-floor building and contains more than 121000 volumes. It stands as one of the leading libraries among Jordanian universities. Since its inception, the UOP Library has been dedicated to providing essential books, periodicals, journals, information sources, and electronic resources to support UOP's scientific activities, catering to the needs of students, researchers, and scholars.
With a commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments in information technology and services, UOP Library aims to enhance its research services, reference searches, and information retrieval effectively and efficiently through the utilization of databases and an electronic archive.

Working hours (During Regular Semester)
From Monday until Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
On Sundays and Thursdays: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Classification System
The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification System, 21st edition, and follows an open shelving system.
Computing System
The library has adopted the Minisis for Management Libraries (M2L) system, the latest version of the Minisis system, to manage all library functions, data, and services.
