The Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Petra hosted national coach Captain Othman Al-Hasanat for a lecture on technical analysis in football and the role of the sports performance analyst. The event was organized as part of the university's ongoing efforts to enhance the skills of student athletes and prepare them to keep pace with modern developments in the sports field.
During the lecture, Captain Al-Hasanat addressed the responsibilities of a performance analyst and clarified the differences between technical, tactical, and physical analysis. He highlighted the importance of video analysis technology during matches for generating statistics and connecting them to tactical strategies.
The session was moderated by Prof. Ziad Zayed from the university's Sports Department. The lecture was attended by Prof. Mahmoud El-Salman, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; Prof. Eyad Al-Mallah, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Naheel Al-Jaberi, Head of the Department of Educational Sciences; along with several faculty members and students majoring in sports.
