The Royal Film Commission Highlights Its Role in Supporting the National Economy During a Lecture Hosted by the University of Petra

Director General of the Royal Film Commission, Mr. Mohannad Al-Bakri, stated that one of the commission's most notable achievements in recent years has been its contribution to the national economy, including the creation of 36,000 job opportunities through its production projects in Jordan.

Speaking during a lecture hosted by the University of Petra and organized by the University Club, Al-Bakri emphasized the commission's role in supporting the national economy. He noted that the commission has facilitated the production of 250 foreign films in Jordan and is committed to promoting filmmaking through specialized training courses.

The lecture was held under the patronage of Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem, President of the University of Petra, and was moderated by Prof. Eyad Al-Mallah, Dean of Student Affairs and President of the University Club. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students.

Prof. Abdel-Rahem highlighted the constructive role of films in shaping social awareness and addressing negative behaviors, praising the commission's efforts and expressing openness to future collaboration between the commission and the university. He also noted that the university offers programs in Animation, Multimedia, and Digital Film Technology among its academic majors.
