The Library Committee in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences (FAFS) launched “Read and Be Educated” Initiative for the third consecutive year at the margin of the enlightening week for newly admitted students in collaboration with UOP Library.
The two-day initiative (4th and 5th of March 2019) aims to familiarize students with library sections, assets and services. The initiative also aims to train students on searching in library catalogues for books, using databases available at UOP library, conditions of book loan and renewal of books loan.
The initiative was well-attended by teaching staff as well as students. In her part, FAFS Dean Dr. Saheer Al-Jaghoub thanked to UOP Library director, staff, and members of library committee for their efforts to ensure the success of the initiative, hoping that this initiative will be organized in the upcoming years to encourage students to gain further knowledge.
