UOP President Sponsors the Environmental Conservation Event

The Chemistry and Mathematics Departments at University of Petra are looking forward to a leading role in the fields of community service and preservation of the environment. For this purpose, an environmental event was held under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Marwan Muwalla, on Wednesday, 7/8/2019 in the science court next to the information technology building.
The event included a presentation of students' projects in the environmental pollution course on reuse and recycling of waste and turning it into useful things. Then hosted environmental activist Amal Madanat, who talked about her initiative zero waste and awareness efforts in the field of reducing the use of plastic materials.
At the end of the activity, a film titled "start with myself" was screened about the experience of the activist in the environmental field and the alternatives to reach zero waste. The chemistry and mathematics departments expressed the desire to adopt some procedures that would separate and reduce waste in their building at the University of Petra which is ranked among the best environmentally national universities according to the classification of green metric.
