The bachelor's program in Software Engineering at University of Petra's Faculty of Information Technology has been awarded national accreditation for academic programs by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, making it the first of its kind among Jordanian public and private universities to receive this recognition.
UOP President Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem said the achievement reflects the university's commitment to academic excellence and the application of the highest quality standards, noting that national accreditation further strengthens the university's reputation and public confidence in its academic output.
Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Prof. Wael Hadi expressed pride in the milestone, highlighting that the program is also in the final stages of earning the prestigious U.S. “ABET" accreditation.
