Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem, President of the University of Petra, sponsored the graduation ceremony for students of the professional diploma program in "Cybersecurity Law in the Digital Environment" and presented the certificates to the graduates.

The diploma program included eleven students from the fields of law, medicine, engineering, and computer science. It featured lectures and workshops on topics related to law and cybersecurity, delivered by lecturers from partner universities involved in the European project "AARMENA." The lectures and workshops took place in Jordan, at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, and at the University of Jena in Germany, spanning a period of nine months.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Al-Dabbas, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Ali Al-Maqousi, Director of the Office of External Funding and Technology Transfer. In his speech, Abdel-Rahem emphasized the urgent need to develop and offer such diploma programs to keep pace with the rapid and astounding advancements in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, which have become a significant part of our lives.

Dr. Al-Maqousi reviewed the objectives and achievements of the "AARMENA" project, highlighting the preparation, design, and implementation of this diploma by the project team at the university, in partnership with colleagues from the Arab and European partner universities. These efforts culminated in the graduation of these students, who successfully completed the program's requirements, including presenting and discussing various studies in law and cybersecurity.

Al-Maqousi thanked the project team, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Continuing Education Center administration, and the university's leadership for their support in achieving this success. He also expressed gratitude to the project coordinator, the University of Jena, and the representatives of the partner universities for their efforts and the exchange of expertise among the partners, as well as the European Union for its full support of the project and its various activities.

The students highlighted the benefits of the diploma, which included increased knowledge, practical education, and the exchange of experiences and cultures with all participants from Arab and European universities.
