University of Petra announces the availability of the following academic vacancies for the Academic Year 2024/2025:
First: Faculty Member in the Faculty of Information Technology, specializing in Information Security, Software Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must have a sequence of degrees in the required specialty and hold a PhD in the required specialty.
Second: Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Architecture and Design in the field of Film Production, Screenwriting and Directing, Film Editing and Photography Arts, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must hold a PhD and the rank of Assistant Professor in one of the film production and screenwriting fields, directing, editing arts, and photography.
Third: Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Architecture and Design in the field of Animation Design, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must hold a PhD and the rank of Assistant Professor in Animation Design.
Fourth: Professor in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences in the field of Business Administration, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must hold a PhD in Business Administration.
Fifth: Professor/Associate Professor in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences in the field of Professional Accounting and Financial Data Analysis, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must have the following sequence of degrees: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's degree in Accounting, PhD in Accounting. Preference will be given to those with professional certifications such as:
CPA: Certified Public Accountant
CMA: Certified Management Accountant
CIA: Certified Internal Auditor
CertIFR: Certificate in International Financial Reporting
CertIA: Certificate in International Auditing
CertIPSAS: Certificate in International Public Sector Accounting Standards
Sixth: Associate Professor in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences in the field of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Science, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must have the following sequence of degrees: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Master's degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Science, PhD in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Science.
Seventh: Associate Professor in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences in the field of Business Intelligence and Data Analysis, according to the following conditions:
The applicant must have the following sequence of degrees: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence, Master's degree in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Business Intelligence and Data Analysis, PhD in Business Intelligence and Data Analysis.
Conditions for applying to faculty vacancies:
The applicant must be a graduate of a reputable and recognized university, preferably from American or British universities.
The applicant must have distinguished academic performance at various levels, including secondary school, bachelor's degree, master's degree, and PhD.
The applicant must have an equivalency from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research according to the required specialty and knowledge field if the degrees are from non-Jordanian universities, as well as the accreditation of the specialty from the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation Commission.
The applicant must have appropriate teaching experience at the university level in the required knowledge field.
The applicant must have published research, at least two papers within the last three years, in specialized, peer-reviewed, indexed international journals, within the required fields in the Scopus database.
The applicant must be proficient in English and skilled in computer use and blended electronic learning.
The applicant must not be committed to work with any government or private entity.
Selection of applicants is based on criteria set by the university, including an interview.
The university reserves the right not to respond to any application or to leave a vacancy unfilled without giving reasons.
Any application that does not meet the conditions mentioned in the announcement will be excluded, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
