The Faculty of Information Technology at University of Petra held its first alumni forum, welcoming graduates from all classes. Prof. Wael Hadi, the Dean of the faculty, welcomed the graduates, emphasizing the university's commitment to staying in touch with its alumni.
The aim of the meeting was to receive feedback from the graduates and understand the role that their years of study at the University of Petra played in helping them in their diverse careers. It also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement, especially in the field of information technology, to align with the demands of the times and the job market. Several graduates shared their success stories and work experiences with the purpose of providing their fellow students with a glimpse into the practical world.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Iyad Al-Malhah, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the responsible officers from the Office of Alumni Affairs in the Student Affairs Deanship,
Ashraf Abu Saleh and Maisaa Mustafa. Also present were Prof. Dr. Noha Al-Khalili, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and the Head of the Software Engineering Department, as well as Prof. Mohammed Abu Arqoub, the Head of the Computer Science, Virtual and Augmented Reality Department, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Othman, the Head of the Information Security Department. Dr. Mai Al-Nashashibi, the Assistant Dean for Quality and Accreditation, Mr. Saif Abu Aisha from the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Department, and Dr. Iman Al-Dhuwaib, the Chair of the Alumni Follow-up Committee in the Faculty of Information Technology, were also in attendance.
