The administrative board of University of Petra's Alumni Association has announced its leadership team. The meeting took place at the Student Affairs Deanship at University of Petra. Dr. Abdullah Haqrous, a pharmaceutical scientist, was appointed as the president of the association, with engineer Abdullah Al-Shoubaki as the vice president, Ms. Alaa Bishnaq as the secretary, Mr. Riyadh Al-Saudi as the legal advisor, and Mr. Yazan Hamed as the responsible and media spokesperson.
The administrative board held its inaugural meeting in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Eyad Mallah, the Assistant to the President for Agreements and International Cooperation, Dr. Kenza Mansor, the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qasim, the Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office, Maisa Mustafa, the Head of the Alumni Department, Ashraf Abu Salha, and members representing all the university's colleges.
Prof. Eyad Mallah emphasized the role of this association in serving the university's graduates, highlighting the university's commitment to supporting graduates through the Alumni Affairs Department by following up on their careers, continuously updating their professional records, showcasing their notable professional successes, connecting them with current students, and seeking their recommendations to enhance the academic and extracurricular experiences of current students. He also
emphasized the importance of alumni contributing their professional experiences to help the university understand the requirements of the job market and post-graduation life
The members of the Alumni Association expressed their appreciation for University of Petra's initiative in establishing this alumni gathering. They pledged their support and readiness to contribute to serving the university's goals and developing its various strategic plan components.
