PSC Completes First Phase of Animal Experiments Unit

The Pharmaceutical Studies Center at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences has completed the first stage of Animal Experiments Unit.
Dr. Nidal Qanna, Director of Pharmaceutical Studies Center, said that state-of-the-art equipment and devices, cages supplied with ventilation system that ensures isolating from the external surroundings and cages for metabolic experiments have been purchased.
Laboratory equipment included devices for cleaning, sterilization and packing of tools, Dr. Qanna said, adding that eco-friendly, safe and secure equipment for both researchers and animals have been selected.
Dr. Qanna emphasized that unit's equipment will improve efficiency, accuracy and speed of the research conducted according to animal experiments’ rules. “Unit supervisors and coordinators will perform experiments in coordination between FPMS and industrial companies,” Dr. Qanna added.
