Faculty of Law Organizes Lecture on Opportunities, Challenges of Studying Abroad

The Canadian researcher and writer of Jordanian origin Mr. Hussain Yunis called for devoting attention to challenges that may encounter students studying abroad and how they can be dealt with. Mr. Yunis stressed on the need for considering social and cultural differences between societies which may pose challenges and difficulties, particularly in the beginning of their study abroad.
Mr. Yunis said that: “Interacting with western culture does not mean pursuing its ideas and getting rid of our Arab culture but learning from its achievements and making successes”.
The lecture was the first in a series of awareness-raising lectures organized by the Social Activities Committee under the patronage of the Law Faculty Dean. The Law Faculty seeks to follow-up its students, enhance relations with them and familiarize students wishing to abroad with social and cultural challenges that may encounter them and how they can be dealt with.
