The Department of Chemistry at the University of Petra (UOP) has provided scientific support for a scientific research project for students of the "Robo Rosa" team from the Al-Natheef Al-Thanawiyeh for Girls School. The goal of the project is to develop cheap and environmentally friendly building materials, in the preparation for participating in the global competition (City Shaper Challenge), specialized in supporting creative projects for school students.
Dr. Muayad Esaifan from UOP presented one of his published researches on the production of inorganic and environmentally friendly building materials to students of Al-Thanawiyeh for Girls under the supervision of Teacher Awadallah. Its aim is to work and develop it to participate in the international competition for creative projects for school students.
Dr. Muayad Esaifan pointed out that the chemistry department at the university organized a scientific visit for the students of the "Robo Rosa" team at the university laboratories, and provided the scientific advice and support necessary for the success of the female students project, stressing the chemistry department's concern to activate the community service domain in order to achieve the policy of UOP.
