UOP President Delivers Certificates of Attendance in ENEPLAN Workshop

Under the patronage of UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla, the workshop entitled: “Using Concept MAP software in designing renewable energy systems in the project developing skills in the field of integrated energy planning in Med landscapes (ENEPLAN)” was concluded.
Prof. Muwalla presented certificates of attendance to participants in the workshop and said that “the workshop was organized in an appropriate time to provide students with practical skills in designing renewable energy systems that preserve natural landscapes”.
The workshop aimed to introduce the outcomes of developing skills in the field of integrated energy planning in Med Landscapes (ENEPLAN) to use the software in designing renewable energy systems that preserve the nature of the site. The workshop also aims to train participants on using “Concept MAP” software to show the interrelationships between various topics.
The project coordinator Dr. Ali Al Maqousi clarified that the workshop was organized at UOP in coordination between the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), the Faculty of Architecture & Design (FAD) and ENEPLAN coordinator.
The Italian ambassador in Amman and the director of the National Erasmus Office, Prof. Ahmad Abu Haija attended the opening ceremony. The attendants expressed interest in the workshop, particularly: Its topic and university students’ participation in the activities of the European projects and praised UOP teamwork to organize this workshop.
Ninety male and female students specializing in engineering and technical subjects and thirty academic and administrative staff participated in the workshop, by an average of ten students from each university. The participating universities included: American University of Beirut, Lebanese University (Lebanon), Ain Shams University, Zewail University (Egypt), University of Jordan, Al- Balqa' Applied University (BAU), Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the University of Petra (Jordan). A group of European and Arab experts supervised the workshop.
