The Master's Program in Interior Design at the University of Petra, which was established in the beginning of 2023, is considered a continuation of the bachelor's program in interior design, which was established in 1992. Over the past years, the department has gained great experience in graduating batches of interior designers who are qualified to compete professionally and scientifically in the local and global market. This is thanks to the efforts of the faculty members whose fields of knowledge vary to cover the needs of specialization, to deal with modern architectural projects of various sizes and the diversity of their functions and complex systems, in a way that meets the highest standards of the profession, in addition to the college's advanced equipment that supports the teaching process.
The Master's Program in Interior Design at the University of Petra has two tracks; thesis and comprehensive exam, through a 33-credit hour study plan, divided into four semesters. The first track (thesis) qualifies the student to work in the academic field and focuses through study courses on developing students' skills in relation to scientific research. The second track (comprehensive exam) qualifies the student to be a design team leader in the practical field and focuses through study courses on the practical and professional side to support their work as leading designers in the local, regional and global markets.
