Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Overview

Offering MBA by the University of Petra (UOP) is based upon its wish to meet the needs of local and regional labor market for managers who enjoy expertise for establishing successful Jordanian businesses in a changing business environment. Developments in business environment and occurrence of global financial crisis highlighted the urgent need for managers who are knowledgeable and well-informed on the latest recent developments in risk management, knowledge management, change management, business ethics and governance. The above-mentioned topics are MBA's key pillars students will become acquainted with.

A group of subject-matter business administration professors supervises MBA program. MBA students may choose either comprehensive track or thesis track. Each track consists of 33 credit hours that cover key areas of management, which are taught to students using the most modern teaching methods.

Objectives of the MBA Program.

Preparing managers with modern expertise to manage leading projects under local and global competition to occupy the best leadership roles in the institutions of public and private sector inside and outside Jordan;
Providing students with an advanced administrative knowledge that enable them to advance in their career or pursue higher studies for PHD;
Encouraging scientific research in business administration, improving innovations, and solving problems to achieve national sustainable development.
Enhancing graduates' ability to interact with the society through organizing a series of lectures by directors of companies in areas within their purview.
