Prof. Muwalla Opens Enlightening Week for Newly Admitted Students

Prof. Marwan Muwalla, UOP President, met with students admitted in the First Semester of the University Year 2018/2019 as a part of the enlightening week at UOP theater.
Prof. Muwalla said: “We grasp that we bear daunting responsibilities in fulfilling the expectations of your parents and building your knowledge and skills in a balanced manner”. “The university is not only a place for gaining knowledge, but a place for improving your skills through well-prepared programs,” Prof. Muwalla added.
Prof. Muwalla pointed out that UOP has achieved high standing by its achievements made in the last years and constant improvements to its infrastructure.
“UOP is committed to reflect noble academic values, including respect for freedom of expression, respect for thinking, respect for diversity, constructive dialogue, eschew intolerance and violence, and spread love and mutual respect,” Prof. Muwalla added.
Dr. Fathi Alfaouri, Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted the activities and services provided by the Deanship of Student Affairs, including supporting sport and cultural activities, training courses and training workshops, and invited the students to read the Student Guide that illustrates UOP services, rights and duties of students, and UOP regulations.
Several deans of faculties and department managers attended the meeting. UOP president and deans of faculties responded to students’ questions on topics and issues of interest, stressing UOP's commitment to resolve all problems that the students may encounter.
