UOP Participants in Ambassadors Program 911 Visit PSD-OCD

As part of Ambassadors Program 911, the UOP participants in the program visited the Operations and Control Department (OCD) at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) to learn about OCD operations and how to deal with information communicated to 911 emergency number at 24-hour basis.
The Ambassadors Program 911, implemented by PSD in partnership with the Friends of National Security Organization, aims to raise awareness of citizens of all ages, especially young people, on their positive role in preserving the security of their country by calling 911 in case they witnessed any distrustful or suspicious activity that may threaten the national security and stability.
Brigadier General Eng. Rami Aldabbas, OCD Director, welcomed the participants in the program and referred to the citizen role in cooperating with PSD and communicating any information that may threaten the national security and stability by calling 911 in case they witnessed any distrustful or suspicious activity.
Brig Aldabbas stated that the citizen is a key partner in preserving security and this is what PSD is seeking to achieve through partnering with all government institutions and citizens and thanked the organizers of Ambassadors program 911.
Head of OCD Control and Mentoring Division, Lieutenant-Colonel Amer Noelati gave an overview to participants on OCD procedures and how to deal with any information communicated to 911 by citizens.
LtCol Amer Noelati pointed out that OCD enjoys high capabilities, including equipment, systems and highly-trained manpower to deal with all the information communicated to the emergency number 911. LtCol Al-Nawalati responded to all queries of the participants.
The Jordanian artist Zuhair AlNoubani and the Jordanian journalist Randa Karadsheh accompanied the participants in their visit. They commended the great efforts exerted by PSD in preserving national security in Jordan and called all citizens to cooperate with PSD in combating all forms of crimes before their occurrence.
The Participants in the program will receive certificates of participation in the Ambassadors Program 911 through in an honoring ceremony for all program organizers and participants.
