UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla received a delegation from LUISS University (LU). The delegation's visit aims to provide a number of grants for Jordanian and Syrian students studying at UOP and broaden areas of cooperation between UOP and LU.
The agreement, funded by Third Pillar Foundation, provides for covering tuition fees of a number of Jordanian and Syrian students studying at UOP for three years plus one year in Italy and visits by LU professors to deliver lectures to UOP students, similar to the lectures delivered by LU Professors last year.
The topics discussed include: Student exchange, exchanging teaching staff and scientific research.
UOP-LU Cooperation Agreement contributes in the achievement of “Mediterranean Sea” Project objectives, such as helping refugees around the world and supporting the host countries in higher education.
UOP President has signed the cooperation agreement during his participation in the launching ceremony of “Mediterranean Sea” project in the Italian capital Rome in presence of Malta Republic President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano.
